Collaborations/Other Projects
Stroke Consultant
I have recently become a consultant as a person with lived experiences for the Central East Stroke Network. I have reviewed training documents and protocols for hospitals. I have shared my experiences for healthcare staff training modules such as this one on post-stroke fatigue (https://youtu.be/vXpZdGAjx58?si=Za9xDJuSP_3quhqr). I have also been invited as a key note speaker for multiple Stroke Education Conference Days at hospitals in Central East Ontario (PRHC, NHH. Lakeridge Health). My work with the Central East Stroke Network is ongoing.
Guest on You Can’t Ask That
I was so excited to be invited as a guest on AMI’s production of You Can’t Ask That (season 3 episode 1)! This show is another step to breaking down barriers and educating others about my situation. Check it out here: https://www.ami.ca/category/you-cant-ask/media/memory-loss
You Are Intelligent
I was honoured when my publisher, Lisa Browning of One Thousand Trees Publishing, reached out to me to write a piece for a book called You Are Enough. This book is in honour of International Women’s Day and is used to inspire and uplift all women (and all people!). I was given the adjective of intelligence. Guest on Naturally Curious Podcast
I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with another Trent University student, Clayton Law. Clayton approached me after hearing of my story through a Trent news article. He asked me to be a guest on his developing podcast called Naturally Curious. You can find his podcast on any streaming services such as here on Spotify (Season 2, Episode 2)!

Other Projects
I have also been involved with a number of speaking opportunities over the past couple years. I was invited to talk at the monthly Stories on Stage (storiesonstage.ca) event held in Guelph Ontario in June 2023. I have started guest lecturing at Sir Sandford Fleming College, to provide insight into a patient view of care for future healthcare professions. And as I continue to grow my speaking portfolio I am happy to chat about further opportunities!
